Digital Signal Strength
07/19/10 at 14:21:39

I just placed an order for EDA-FTO 8300 Amplifier.   I am anxious to see the results.  I  have been having problems with the digital cable strength coming from the cable provider, Comcast.   I have added 5 digital converter boxes in my 2nd home.   A real hassle with the provider in that each box must be activated.   I am now having problems with signal loss to the point when I return to the house after a week and try to turn the tvs on - I have lost signal strength resulting in lower end channels not being rec'd.  Needing to call the provider and going through the re-set procedure again and again.  I do know that when I had a cable tech come to the house - he was able to enter a command from the remote control hand unit which provided an on-screen diagnostic, signal strength at that particular t, etc.  He was not wiling to share the input codes for this diagnostic and I was wondering if anyone out there has an idea of what these codes.   Lastly - the up-shod to  my problems is to re-wire the house using home-runs from the 8300 Amp.   Would appreciate any input from other posters.
